Administrative Medical Assistants are an important part of the medical team. They help to keep medical organizations streamlined and organized by scheduling appointments and managing a front desk, along with more technical work like keeping medical and financial records, and transcribing reports. Students enrolled in the Administrative Medical Assisting program at Skyline College can expect to learn the skills necessary to enter the workforce at the cutting edge of administrative medical assisting. Four of the available certificates include a working clerkship, giving our students hands-on experience in the area of Administrative Medical Assisting, including specialty areas such as Medical Editing, Insurance Billing, and Medical Coding.
