Bachelor of Science in Geology

Geology degreecombines physics, chemistry, and math with good old-fashioned observational science to understand how the Earth works. This includes such large-scale processes as plate tectonics and the formation of the continents and such small-scale processes such as stream erosion and restoration and how to solve acid mine drainage issues. Career options range from environmental work to petroleum exploration to various federal and state government agencies to geologic engineering.
