Phonetics is the study of human and machine processing of spoken language. Phonetics is an interdisciplinary science that deals on the one hand with the areas of physiological foundations, cognitive processes, physical processes and language technology, and on the other is characterized by close content and methodological connections to traditional subjects such as linguistics, computer science and medicine.
