BA Hons English Literature

The English Literature programme will provide you with a strong grounding in canonical works and a wide range of critical approaches to literature. You will also be able to tailor your degree with a number of specialist optional modules that focus on specific periods and themes from the medieval to the contemporary and from children s literature to American fiction. Unusually for an English Literature degree, they also offer the opportunity to undertake a Professional Training placement, giving you experience in degree-related professions such as publishing, marketing, the media industries, teaching, creative writing or arts administration.
