BA in English and Philosophy

This course gives you the opportunity to study two distinct disciplines, philosophy, which questions everyday assumptions and enquires into the foundations of other forms of knowledge; English literature, which involves the close, analytical study of poetry, fiction and drama. Imaginative, persuasive expression in the study of English Literature or Language is a complementary pairing with different philosophical perspectives as you discover how literary culture has shaped society, and how society has shaped literary culture.
