Studies in electrical engineering lead to an understanding of this profoundly important and interesting set of technologies at many levels: fundamental physics, devices, integrated circuits, embedded systems, networks of systems, and applications that rely upon the underlying technologies. Thus, courses include such topics as device physics, device operation, design of integrated circuits and antenna systems, telecommunications systems and networks, audio and video processing, embedded computing, and the interface between biological and electrical systems. There are Biomedical Engineering and Computer Engineering options available for this major.
