This research programme offers a unique and exciting environment for the in-depth study of the varied aspects of the Mediterranean and Middle East. The programme has attracted students from all over the Middle East and Mediterranean (including Egypt, Israel, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Iraq, Bahrain and Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates), as well as Europe, Japan, Canada and the United States. Students are carrying out research in areas as diverse as the Middle East Peace process, the history of Zionism, Greek-Turkish foreign relations, Euro-Arab and Euro-Mediterranean political and economic relations; Israel's foreign and domestic policy; and the foreign policy of the Arab world; Social change in Kuwaiti Society, UAE National Security Policy.
