The Science Education major prepares you to teach in junior and senior high schools (grades 7-12). This four-year program allows you to choose from these fields: Chemistry, Earth Science, Earth Science/Chemistry, Earth Science/Life Science, Earth Science/Physics, Life Science, Life Science/Chemistry, Life Science/Physics, or Physical Science. The program provides theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in the areas of science, learning, and science teaching that are consistent with the National Science Teaching Standards, especially in the areas of inquiry, science-society-technology, and evolution.
