This degree is for students who want to work as generalist primary teachers in schools, teaching children from reception to year seven. The curriculum is practical in nature you will begin work placements during your first six months. As well as real-world experience, you will also be given the opportunity to fine-tune your learning with a primary specialisation, focusing on particular areas of interest. The curriculum is informed by our world-class research1, and you will complete specialist courses that will focus on your particular areas of interest. The practical component of this degree begins in the first six months, giving you the opportunity early on to experience exactly what the job is all about. Overseas professional experience is also available to interested students, you'll have the opportunity to complete up to 20 days of professional experience as part of an overseas placement.
