The Human Performance program at UNC is a four-year degree program centered around studying human movement and motion. Students receive practical and real-world experience built on a strong theoretical and scientific foundation. With a broad set of courses across multiple disciplines, students enrolled in this 120-credit-hour major study the fundamentals of chemistry, kinesiology, and biomechanics, as well as the psychology of exercise, and prevention and care of sports injuries. Graduates will be well-equipped to work in cardiac rehabilitation, gerontological fitness, fitness management, conditioning, ergonomics and more.
