Why can t some children learn in the classroom How does creativity help re-engage people in education How do we help people who find formal learning difficult On our three-year course, you ll explore learning beyond the typical educational context of schools, such as youth groups, hospitals, community organisations and with the homeless. You ll be able to study how communities are formed, youth culture, how political and economic priorities affect learning, and how the arts can empower communities. We focus on generating future leaders of social enterprises and aim to prepare you for a career working in a community environment. You ll also look into ways of encouraging businesses to invest in community learning. Gaining practical skills such as bid writing (to help you generate income from funders), how to promote ideas to networks, and how to build community assets to help with regeneration.
