This degree is for those who have a passion for helping others and wish to examine the social and political context of counselling. It will introduce you to a variety of counselling models and enable you to explore counselling and psychotherapy as a means of promoting social justice, with a key focus on community action. You will participate in personal development sessions to build your confidence, self-awareness and active listening skills, while learning how to facilitate groupwork and prepare for establishing and leading a community-based support group.
