Application software developers build information systems to support an organization's day-to-day operations and strategic decision-making. Building application software requires working with the business users to gather and analyze requirements, design the system, write programs, and implement and maintain the application. At Morrisville State College, students are provided with the skills they need to land one of these high-paying, high-tech jobs. Students learn how to write computer programs using software languages such as Visual Basic and Java. You will learn database development and design, systems analysis and design, microcomputer techniques, and networking and communication concepts. The IT curriculum is constantly evolving to keep pace with the changing needs of industry.
