BS Data Visualization

Data visualization is the art and science of communicating quantitative and qualitative information using a pictorial or graphical format which enables users to understand, use, communicate, and take action. Majors learn data visualization design principles, theories, data management skills, and graphics techniques that are required to design and develop interactive data visualizations. Upon completion of the program, students will be able to design effective visual representations of data based on the data s characteristics, business needs, and the requirements of prospective users.
