Alongside University-based learning, placements take place in each year of the course. They provide experience of community and hospital pharmacy as well as 'insight' visits to provide a variety of inter-professional experiences. Throughout the course you will develop a range of transferable skills and the ability to work to the highest professional and ethical standards with a truly patient-centred approach. You will have the time and space to settle into university life. Introductory modules will give you the background information to equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to study effectively. You will concentrate on the fundamentals of the main areas of the course which are chemistry, pharmaceutics, microbiology and pharmacology. You will also begin to visit community and hospital pharmacies.
