MChem Pharmaceutical Chemistry

The MChem in Pharmaceutical Chemistry is an integrated four-year undergraduate Masters course providing a strong grounding in skills and knowledge relating to the role of the chemist in drug discovery. As well as a firm grounding in general chemistry, research methods and relevant laboratory techniques, you will acquire the necessary skills and knowledge in drug testing, drug efficacy, computer-based drug design and the quality control of pharmaceuticals. You will benefit from newly refurbished state-of-the-art laboratory facilities and from learning in a research-active environment. The MChem route includes professional studies and you will spend a year focusing on a major independent project in pharmaceutical chemistry.
