In addition a more general view of materials research will be obtained. The employed research methods are both experimental and computational. The doctoral degree can be obtained from experimental materials physics, inorganic materials chemistry, pharmaceutical chemistry, nanosciences, polymer materials chemistry, molecular spectroscopy, biophysics, medical physics, computational materials physics, computational materials chemistry, electronics and industrial applications. The doctoral theses are as a rule completed within a research team active in one of these topics. This guarantees individual supervision for the doctoral students.
