PhD in Foreign Languages

The Japanese program of BIT takes Japanese language and literature as its main subjects. The program aims to lay the solid foundation of Japanese language for students including Japanese culture, society, politics, economy and history. Taking advantage of science and engineering at BIT, students will also learn Japanese for special purposes, e.g., science and technology, trade and economy, obtaining methods in scientific research, and developing independent thinking and innovation; thus becoming practical, specialized, comprehensive talents. Students from this program are prepared for career opportunities in fields of foreign affairs, translation, teaching and research in enterprises, financial institutions, government and schools.
