The dual-degree program leads to a Bachelor of Science degree in exercise science and a Master of Public Health degree in epidemiology. The BS/MPH program prepares graduates to work on preventive approaches to improve the health of populations. Students will gain an understanding of the scientific, behavioral and clinical aspects of physical activity and the distribution and determinants of lifestyle-related diseases. Students will consider prevention from both individual and population perspectives. The program prepares students to develop preventive solutions to population health issues, such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes and obesity.
