Combine business studies with event management and marketing knowledge, gaining the skills you need to promote, organise and manage events. The first year of this course introduces you to a range of essential business disciplines such as accounting, economics and finance. You'll also take an introductory events management subject along with an introductory marketing subject. Through your event management major, you'll develop the skills you need to plan and organise festivals and community events, as well as develop your knowledge of sustainability in event planning and management. We place a particular focus on developing your entrepreneurship skills, which are vital for the promotion and success of professional, sporting, cultural and community events.
