BS in Accounting

The major in accounting at Sy Syms School of Business prepares students for many different careers. The usual career path is to become a certified public accountant and eventually become a partner in a public accounting firm, where audit, taxation and consulting services are provided to a wide range of clients. Other possible career paths stemming from an accounting background include working in the accounting department of a large publicly traded company, working for the IRS or going into tax law or investment banking.
