The master's program in Cell and Development Biology prepares students to undertake advanced study and research in this field from the level of the molecule and cell to tissues and whole organisms. All students are required to take departmental courses in Biostatistics, Lab Safety, Research Ethics, and Scientific Writing. These courses should be completed in the first year. For students who work with laboratory animals, an additional 4-hour course is required in the Ethical Conduct and Care of Research Animals.
