MA Technical Translation and Interpreting

The course provides theoretical and practical skills in translation (transcreation, subtitling, CAT tools) and interpreting (dialogue, consecutive and simultaneous). Though the focus is principally on developing language, translation and interpreting skills there are also modules on principles of translation as well as core subject areas such as cinema, economics, sociolinguistics, tourism and intercultural communication. The thesis will be based on a classroom project.
