MA Sanskrit

The Department of Sanskrit came into existence in1954 with Prof. C. Kunhan Raja as the Founder Head. But the department actually started offering M.A. and Ph.D. from the year 1958 onwards . Several stalwarts in Sanskrit Literature were associated with the department. The major thrust areas of the department are Research in Darsanas, Sociological and Women's Studies in Sanskrit Literature and Comparative Literary Criticism.
