Music Industry BS

The Music Department is a community of artists, performers, composers, and scholars who are committed to preparing students for meaningful lives in the professional world of music. A degree in music provides students the opportunity to develop artistically while securing the knowledge and skills necessary to be competitive in the music profession. The music program at OSU fosters the highest standards of music performance and scholarship to prepare students for success in their chosen music specialties. Courses to expect for this major include Music History, Music Theory, Large and Chamber Ensembles, Opera, Jazz Studies, and Marching Band Methods.
