Since the dawn of the 21st century, visuals reign supreme and capturing reality in an investigative light has become increasingly important across the globe. Documentary filming (non-fiction cinema) has gained significant exposure at festivals, in cinemas, and on television networks. The theory and criticism of documentary filming has likewise expanded and enables a new perspective into different societal issues.Located at the Tisch School, our MFA in Documentary Cinema gives Israeli and International students access to state of the art equipment and editing facilities. This unique program deals exclusively with documentary filmmaking. Recently, documentary cinema has become a powerful tool for spreading stories and ideas.
