As an advertising major, you ll learn the skills you need to succeed in the fast-paced competitive world of advertising from copywriting and social media to integrated marketing strategies. You ll learn advertising industry basics, including how to create ads and plan advertising campaigns that appeal to the target markets of industry brands and nonprofits. You ll write ad copy and design the visual elements of ads. Then, you will study the fundamentals of media planning and buying as it applies to television, radio, print, online, and social media advertising.
