MA in Art History in History of Textile Arts

The program addresses textile art from the early Middle Ages to the present, covering a broad geographical and cultural spectrum that includes patterns and styles in European silk weaving borrowed from the Middle East, comparisons between Near and Middle Eastern and Western vestmental practices, and the production and use of carpets in the Near and Middle East and their reception in the West.
