Master in Advanced English Studies and its Applications

This is an interuniversity master's, which incorporates internships in companies, specialises in language, literature and culture of English-speaking countries, the relationship between English and new information technologies, and cultural mediation to facilitate communication in areas such as education, law and administration. This inter-university Master’s program aims to provide a specialization in the language, literature and culture of English-speaking countries, as well as the relationship between English and new information technologies, through disciplines such as psycholinguistics, sociolinguistics, discourse analysis and gender studies, among others. It also includes subjects focusing on cultural mediation which are intended to facilitate communication with areas such as education, law and administration. The resulting qualification, because of the subjects covered on the program, strengthens and expands an individual’s preparation for working in the public services. The practical component of the program provides direct experience of joining the labor market in this area.
