Description
Within the single-subject course of the second-level Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology study program, male and female students upgrade the knowledge, skills and competences they acquired at the first level and train for independent research, application and development work, while the most successful can continue their studies at the third level. In addition to general humanistic and social science competences, male and female students acquire and strengthen specific competences that arise from knowledge of ways of life and cultural diversity and enable employment in cultural, administrative, governmental and non-governmental, economic and educational institutions in areas that concern knowledge of the processes and components of everyday life life, e.g. issues of life in rural and urban environments, communications, media and language, gender, migration, minorities, of human rights, health culture, religion, popular culture, publishing, culture marketing, protection and dealing with cultural heritage and folk culture in monument protection and museums, documentation centers, libraries, etc. A special feature of the study of ethnology and cultural anthropology is the acquisition of skills for field work and for working with people in different cultural contexts.
