The PhD in Economics and Law encourages competitive research on an international level, focused on providing contributions with a high scientific value that generate knowledge that is useful to society, in the areas of Business Management and Economics, on the one hand, and Law on the other.
The programme provides postgraduate training in research methodology for business management and administration, economics and law.
The focus of the lines of research in the doctorate programme lies in an experienced mix of theoretical foundation and guidance in dealing with relevant problems. Writing up the doctoral thesis is especially important, as it is compulsory to defend it during the first year before a specific committee made up of two professors from outside the UIC, and one from the UIC. While drafting their thesis, students will consolidate the skills needed for research that meets UIC standards.
