Biology (BSc)

All facets of biology are offered; from molecular cell biology to ecology. The first year and a half you follow a broad basic program, after which you specialize in your favorite direction. You learn to think critically and independently and to ask questions. That is why you conduct your own research early during the bachelor's program. The program cooperates with various international top institutes, including the university Institute of Biology, the Hortus Botanicus and the Naturalis Biodiversity Center. Because lecturers work at these institutes, Leiden education always follows the latest insights. You have a lot of contact hours and you follow group education.
