Astronomy (BSc)

Astronomy is one of the few bachelor's programs in the Netherlands that focuses on the field of astronomy in its entirety. You will receive readings from top scientists. Many lecturers enjoy great reputation as scientists at home and abroad. Education is provided by the Leiden Observatory, one of the world's leading research institutes. Scientific research is fully embedded in the training. From the first year you do your own astronomical observations with modern telescopes and you finish the bachelor with your own research project. In this way you will be trained to be a critical and independent scientific researcher.
