Description

The subject of agricultural science in the Master of Education course deals with topics relating to the primary production of human and animal food as well as renewable raw materials. These include the fields of plant sciences, animal sciences, organic farming, and economics and social sciences. In the course of study, the major vocational field of agricultural science is supplemented by choosing one of the three small vocational fields of plant sciences (crop production), animal sciences (animal husbandry) or economics and social sciences in agriculture. With the choice of the small professional specialization, the further technical specialization takes place.

Educational sciences and subject didactics come to the fore during the course. The latter is intended to enable prospective vocational school teachers to adequately transfer the specialist knowledge acquired during their studies in professional practice to students in relevant training occupations (eg farmer, forester, florist, gardener, horse manager) to convey.

In the teaching post for vocational colleges, a major vocational subject is studied in combination with a small vocational subject. In addition, the students take the subject of educational sciences. The practical semester is a central component of the course.
