Teaching in elementary school

A profession in contact with the future. Starting from the consideration of the school as a place of cultural and social training, the profession of teacher for the elementary school sector requires, in addition to a solid didactic and pedagogical preparation, also an open and curious look towards the future, since it places the teacher constantly in contact with the new generations, with the challenges and needs that their development entails. 

The SUPSI Bachelor of Arts in Teaching for the elementary level (school years: 3-7) (elementary school) is a tertiary level training of a vocational nature that leads students to build in three years of training the enabling skills to exercise the teaching profession. The Bachelor degree awarded by the Department of Education and Learning enables teaching in elementary schools in the Canton as well as being recognized at federal level. 

The training is based on a concept of life-long learning. The complexity and the evolutionary nature of the profession lead to orient the construction of skills of students primarily towards the acquisition of a professional attitude that guarantees effectiveness and durability in the profession.
