BA rt History

The BA in Art History program provides a strong undergraduate education in art history, art connoisseurship, and art theory. Courses are offered in the major periods of Western Art History, as well as Latin American Art History, African Art History, and Asian Art History. Seniors complete their degree in advanced seminars. Making maximum use of the city's resources, classes regularly visit museums and galleries where works of art are examined and experienced firsthand. You may combine your academic studies with practical experiences in the field through museum and art gallery internships, which may be completed for credit towards the major.
