There has never been a more pressing time to study International Development, as globalisation continues to impact some of the world's poorest countries, or the global South, and the reaction to globalisation continues to manifest itself in first world countries in Europe and North America, such as Brexit and the election of the protectionist US President, exacerbated by major humanitarian issues such as the refugee crisis.
