Bachelors in Economics

As an economics major, you will examine how the resources, goods and services we use to sustain and improve life are produced, exchanged and consumed. You'll gain an understanding of how economies work and develop on a variety of scales, and the consequences of economic policies and policy change around the world. You'll take into account the logic of individual choice and market forces as you explore tradeoffs inherent in addressing challenges confronting us today problems like income inequality, food scarcity, industrial pollution, labor exploitation, resource depletion, climate change, and the rising cost of health care. An understanding of economics provides a strong foundation for anyone interested in understanding the causes and consequences of these critical issues facing society.
