BA in Scandinavian Studies

The bachelor s programme in Scandinavian Studies at the University of Vienna aims at equipping students with the necessary skills to systematically analyse Scandinavian languages and literature in the past and present, while also taking aspects of social science and cultural studies into account. Students acquire language skills in a Scandinavian language (Danish, Icelandic, Norwegian or Swedish) and familiarise themselves with Scandinavian linguistics and literary studies, as well as Old Norse studies
