Description

Archaeological restorers maintain, care for, restore and carry out technological research on art and cultural assets. A restorer carries out all conservation measures on an object which prevent and delay changes occurring that could endanger the object. They also perform all restorative interventions needed to preserve a damaged, deformed, or fragmented object without destroying historically significant substance in all relevant dimensions. In addition, they perform all investigations to determine historical significance, the level and type of damage, as well as craftsmanship and artistic technique.
