Description
The Physics course worked but there was no exclusive Teaching Unit. It was at the initiative of Mathematics teachers, Martha Maria de Souza Dantas and Arlete Cerqueira Lima, and of Physics teacher, Ramiro from Porto Alegre Muniz, that the Rector Edgard Santos, in 1960, signed the creation of the Institute of Mathematics and Physics (IMF) .
