The Environmental Analysis track offers studies in the physical processes associated with the environment and environmental sustainability in the face of today s social and environmental challenges. Students will gain holistic insights into human-environment interaction issues such as natural resources and hazards, land-use/land-cover changes, water resources, climate change, spatiality of disease and epidemics, and environmental policy making. The track is grounded in theoretical basics as well as practical aspects of environmental analysis such as the application of Geographic Information System (GIS), remote sensing and spatial analysis. In general, a BS degree in this track prepares students for careers in environmental sciences in both public and private entities as well as a solid framework for basic and applied research in graduate school.
