BSc in Biology

Biology deals with living beings and life processes on all organizational levels as well as their connections - from molecules, cells, and multicellular organisms, right through to ecosystems and the entire biosphere. A wide variety of work methods are used in this process, carried out partially outdoors, partially in the laboratory, and partially on the computer. The course teaches the basics of biology and related sciences such as chemistry, physics, and mathematics, then builds on this with specific knowledge from the focus areas of the subject. Practice-orientation and knowledge of methods are especially important here. After completing the course, students should be able to carry out tasks within the subject independently. The course provides an initial academic qualification for work in the professional field
