Educational Sciences forms part of the teacher training at the JGU: Teacher training usually includes two specialist subjects (teaching subjects), Educational Sciences as well as practical teaching experience in schools. It includes a two-tier qualification system. Assessment takes place using a credit points system based on the ECTS model. In the Bachelor's/Master's degree program, binding curricular standards apply across the various locations for teacher training in Rhineland-Palatinate. With the new model, the focus on teaching techniques has been increased and a stronger practical approach has already been incorporated into the course with several practical sessions in schools
