BSc Honours Biotechnology

The Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology is first offered at the Faculty of Food Science and Biotechnology in 1986 and later has been placed under the Faculty of Biotechnology and Biomolecular Sciences (FBSB) that was established on 1 August 2004. Under FBSB, the name of the program has been changed to Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology with Honors and offered by the Department of Bioprocess Technology. The program is conducted on a full-time basis at the campus of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Serdang. The duration of the program is eight semesters (four years) with a minimum credit of 126 to graduate. This program is conducted using a student-centered learning (SCL) method that includes theories and practices through lectures, tutorials, seminars, industrial training, field trips, case studies, fieldwork and research projects.
