BA in Protestant Theology

Hamburg is a multicultural and multi-religious city, and this character is also reflected in the department, which offers one of the largest and most diverse educational opportunities for Protestant theology in German-speaking countries. About 1000 students from all parts of the country study in the different study programs. Research and teaching are closely linked. Anyone leaving the Department of Protestant Theology with a degree should be in a position to independently and scientifically sound theological issues to discuss and assess. The Faculty of Protestant Theology offers students three different study programs, all of them in different compositions and weights the theological subjects Old Testament , New Testament , Church History , Systematic Theology , Practical Theology and missionary, Ecumenism and Religious Studies .
