BA Philosophy

Philosophy, understood broadly as the pursuit of wisdom, explores the values and concepts central to our understanding of ourselves, and the world around us. The most satisfying reason to study philosophy is that it provides an opportunity to examine one s own beliefs and ponder the deepest questions about human existence. A person who studies philosophy can expect to develop a variety of skills that are useful no matter what one does in life. Philosophy promotes the ability to organize ideas, solve problems and communicate clearly. It's an ideal major for students interested in graduate studies in the law or theology.
