Gender Studies UAB specific programme

The UAB-specific programme in Gender Studies is the first of its kind to be offered in any of the universities of Catalonia. This interdisciplinary, broad-ranging and extensive programme provides students with a cross-curricular vision of how the binary system of gender works and its underlying power, as well as the inequalities it has generated and continues to create. The programme's study plan includes theoretical and cultural analysis contents, and at the same time guarantees that students will be equipped with all the necessary professional skills. It provides students with the tools needed to act critically and responsibly against the inequalities faced by specific groups, thus helping them to contribute to a more positive transformation of this world.
