Bachelor of Science in Elementary Mathematics

It is a dual subject bachelors program, Elementary Mathematics is the area of mathematics that includes the basic skills that we deal with on a daily basis. It encompasses the basic mathematical terms and structures that human beings have worked with for centuries. In many areas of our lives, we both consciously and unconsciously deal with geometric figures, symmetry and patterns, numbers and operations, graphic representations and tables, algebraic structures and functional relationships. These are all part of the curriculum in the Grundschule, Hauptschule, and Realschule. Elementary mathematics at the University of Oldenburg teaches the technical and didactic basics of mathematics as a taught subject in these three kinds of schools.
