Description
The roots of the Degree Course in Neurophysiopathology techniques, however, have a much older origin. In 1972, at the University of Rome La Sapienza, the first Special School for Neurophysiopathology Technicians was established in Italy, under the direction of Prof. Gianfranco Ricci, followed soon after by the University of Bologna. In the following years, these two schools followed many others in various Italian universities. In 1996 the Schools directed to Fini Speciali (established in 18 locations) were transformed into Diplomas Universitari, which in 2001 were then transformed into three-year degrees. Although this is a degree course with few annual enrollments (on average 11 students enrolled), in all these years our university has prepared technicians with an excellent cultural and scientific level, who then found employment in hospitals and health facilities distributed throughout the country. This, thanks to the efforts to pursue the objective of optimizing the efficiency of the training path, through a teaching that is promptly carried out and supported under the organizational-procedural profile by the articulated coordination of teachers (at the level of individual integrated courses), which to date highlights positive effects in terms of the effectiveness of the training that can be found during the examinations, the acquisition of professional skills by the students and the improvement of the quality perceived by them.
